Personal Music History

Benjamin began banging on his mothers pots and pans while listening to such bands as The Beatles and Dire Straits at around age 3. At age 5, his parents bought him a kids size drum set from Sears and another kids size kit a year later with his first Sabian cymbal.

At age 6, Benjamin began playing piano for 2 years and then received a bigger child drum set around age 7. Benjamin began taking drum lessons from Adrian Gardner and Greg Ritchie (Canada's top youth drummer at the time; 1997) and received a 1975 Slingerland Black Beauty drum kit. He then formed a band and began to play at school and church events. While in high school, he started a school radio station.

From the age of 14, Benjamin has been writing, producing, recording, event management, and performing in a number of bands from different musical genres, dinner theatres, solo artists, musicals, ensembles, at many different studios and vanues.

In 2009, Benjamin's wife, Christina Joy, became pregnant and in 2010 Benjamin and Christina collaborated on writing and recording a lullaby for their first born child, Katia.

In 2010, Benjamin co founded Love is Moving which produced two media curriculums, a television series which was broadcasted all over North America, and a national magazine www.loveismoving.ca. Benjamin also produced the television show theme song and performed with DJ Will Min (aka Wilhaus) as part of the television show intro.
